Longtime veteran driver and KKW employee, Mike Rios, was recently recognized for coming to the aid of a pedestrian. He was at the right place at the right time! A local resident and head supervisor of a handicap program in Orange County submitted a letter of acknowledgement. The incident occurred on February 21, 2012. Mike Rios, came to the rescue of one of her clients. Somehow, the gentleman had gotten out of his wheelchair and made his way off the curb and into the street at Warner and Flower, a very busy intersection. Our driver, Mike, stopped his truck in the middle of the street, got out and picked the boy up to put him back in his chair. The boy could have been seriously hurt if it wasn't for the quick thinking of our driver. As stated by the author of the letter, "It takes a lot now days for anyone to lend a helping hand." On behalf of the local nursing staff and of course, KKW Trucking, THANK YOU Mike Rios, for being there and having the courage to help the young man to safety.
